Advent Party & PotluckCome and celebrate Advent with us as we fellowship around the table and prepare items for you and your family to use throughout the season, pick up your GCBC Devotional, and pack some Advent Boxes for our homebound members! We will also have a photographer available beginning at 11am for regular directory photos and for FAMILY CHRISTMAS PHOTOS! (FREE OF CHARGE!) Meat and drinks provided, please provide sides and desserts to share! The kitchen will be open at 9:30 before the service and after the service for people to drop off food. |

Monday Morning Prayer MeetingAs we look toward the Thanksgiving holiday, we would like to say thanks to those of you who have supported us over the course of the year by contributing to the general fund of the church. We consider you part of the group. At this time of year, we are so thankful that we get to come to a warm Sunshine Classroom on Monday mornings and lift up our prayer concerns and praises, as well as the folks listed on our church Prayer List. For those learning about our group, we used to meet down the street at Hardee’s. GCBC Ringers at the Baptist General Association of Virginia's 200th Anniversary CelebrationGrandin Court Baptist Handbell choir was honored to be invited to participate with two other handbell choirs from across Virginia. In celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the founding of the Baptist General Association of Virginia, the choirs prepared 5 selected pieces to present as a prelude and a specially commissioned anthem for the worship service on Tuesday, November 13th. Director Melissa Fox also contributed through the flute and the Virginia Baptist Women's Chorale, who sang with the Virginia Baptist Male Chorale. "As the director, I am super proud of my ringers. They are faithful to serve GCBC in weekly rehearsals throughout the year. They deserved to be among those invited to celebrate since they have been instrumental in keeping handbell ministry thriving in central Virginia for decades. They give their talents for the glory of God and I am honored to be their director." - Rev. Melissa Fox |
