At the July 26 church business meeting, the church voted to approve a minister position that will serve children and families. During that same meeting, the Personnel Committee presented Becky Owen as the candidate to serve in this position as Interim Minister to Children and Families.
In accordance with our church bylaws, the congregation will vote on this recommendation at a special business meeting. Our bylaws require that this vote take place no sooner than two weeks after the candidate is presented. We have scheduled the vote for four weeks after the presentation to allow ample time for everyone to be informed and to prayerfully consider this decision.
The vote will take place on Sunday, August 23, immediately following the worship service. We ask all church members to remain after the service to participate in the vote, which will be conducted by anonymous ballot.
