Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and organized Administrative Assistant to support our church office 20 hours per week.  As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our administrative processes. Your proficiency in various software applications, record keeping, answering the phone, greeting visitors, and familiarity with social media, websites, and creative content is an asset. If you are a motivated and organized individual with experience in office support and communications, we encourage you to apply. Some training is provided.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones, greet visitors, handle inquiries, emails and general mass communications in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document organization.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel to create and edit documents.
  • Create and maintain records in church software and files accurately and confidentially.
  • Assist in maintaining our social media presence, including creating content to post on platforms Facebook and Instagram using Meta Business Suite.
  • Collaborate with the staff for delivery of information and to create content for newsletters.
  • Assist in facilitating building usage.
  • Ordering supplies and maintaining office equipment.

Experience Preferred:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel for creating and editing documents and spreadsheets.
  • Comfort level in learning software, website content, social media, creating newsletters, and communications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and work independently.
  • Professional demeanor, punctuality, and reliability.

Job Type:  Part-Time

Schedule:  Monday through Friday, 4-hour shift
