We lovingly refer to our Senior Adult Community Members (which include Adults 55 years of age and older) as OWLS – Older Wiser Loving Servants! 

Our Senior Adult Ministry is focused on encouraging fellowship, creating special events, participating in Mission Projects and preserving caring relationships with members who are no longer able to attend due to medical or other issues.  

OWLS gather every fourth Thursday at 1 pm for lunch together. We visit various restaurants in the Roanoke area and occasionally host potlucks with guest speakers. Anyone is welcome to join us. Watch for Sherrie's announcement each month for location.

Ministries we Offer:

·        A monthly Newsletter – The OWLS Gazette
·        Assisted Living, nursing home and homebound visitation
·        Through our Deacon Ministry – a Small Jobs Committee that will help with minor home jobs/repairs
·        Meal Trains for members when needed
·        Christmas Boxes for those not able to attend

·        4th Thursday of the Month – OWLS Out to Lunch Fellowship
·        Trips to Local Theater Productions
·        Outdoor Picnics
·        Grief Group for those mourning loss
·        Special Activities through the year – any chance to get together to Eat!!  We have had Cake and Pie Contests, Music presentations and hope to have some day/overnight trips in our future!
